Message: Comments :a question - how can any ratio be 0:6 ? "Wealth management in India is still nascent. The ratio of self-managed to professionally-managed wealth in Asia stands at 3:7 compared to 0:6 in the US.", if its zero on one side it will be infinity on the practically speaking, a ratio of zero to anything does not make sense to me, perhaps I am missing something important, can you please explain. Many thanks, Rani D

Message: Comments :Your article is informative and good. However, it only paints a rosy picture, as my father has filed a complaint with the Insurance Ombudsman of Maharashtra in April 2005, but inspite of several follow-ups with the Office of the Insurance Ombudsman including a couple of personal visits, till date we have not heard from them regarding the claim. Message: As per the advice from an agent, I started one double endowment policylast april for a value of 8lakh(16 lakh in case of death) for an annualpremium of Rs.28000/-. I was 26 at the time of commencement of policy. Wasit a good move since I'll get around 20-24 lakh once it matures OR 16 lakhin case of death. Is term insurance a better option(since it comes withlow premium)since I can invest surplus money in to other instruments likeMF ? Please advice.

One-to investregularly/monthly which shall accumulate with some growth by the aforesaiddesired time. The other possible way could be (probably a gamble and aparallel path which i would like to invest-one time now and forget and notkeep much of hope but, it may give the aforesaid return based on long terminvestment) to quantify an amount and invest in M.Fs/Selected stocks ofdiff sectors and generate th money.Hence request you to guide me over thisby letting me how much one time money will be required now and what couldbe the possible instruments for this one time investments.
