Is there any insurance policy that compensates for loss of income during
say an accident and hospitalisation thereafter.
In September last year I suffered a hairline fracture on my foot and had
to stay away from work for six weeks ( I am a self employed civil engineer
/ building consultant ). That was loss of income as I could not go to my
work.

| Message: :I have taken SBI Life Insurance at the cost of Rs.66,345/- and
paid Service Tax Rs.8,121/- on this Insurance Premium towards my Housing
Loan Rs.15,00,000/- from State Bank of Mysore.
Therefore please clarify the following urgently:
1. Whether said Insurance Premium Rs.66,345/- is eligible for Income Tax
rebate under IT Act? If so, under what provisions?
2. Whether said Service Tax Rs.8,121/- is eligible for Income Tax rebate.
I feel logically it should be allowed at par with Professional Tax, since
Service Tax is going to the Government.
An early reply is highly solicited in view of Financial Year closing.
Thanking You,
Yours Sincerely

IT Act.
The policies are under following categories:
Table-180 & Table- 181 .
Would you please resolve the confusion at the earliest ?

| Message: I am investing in franklin india prima fund through S.I.P. since nov.2005 considering its long term performance @ franklin templeton A.M.C.'s overall performence. But evenafter considering poor performence of mid & small caps in last one year performance of some other mid cap funds like magnum global, reliance growth, sundaram select midcap is good over same period. So whether I should continue/discontinue SIP ? Hold or switch investments in prima fund. I want to remain invested for 5-7 yrs. Kindly suggest. Thank you.
