Message: As per PPF Scheme the limit is Rs. 70,000 for induvidual or on behalf of minor. Is this limit for individual account or all accounts clubbed together. i.e. Suppose an individual has PPF account and also PPF account of minor child, can he subscribe to Rs. 70000 in each account or Rs. 70000 in both the accounts put together.

My MF portfolio of Rs. 1.25 Lakhs built gradually over the last 5 years comprises of SBI Magnum Tax Gain (D)-20%, Principal Tax Saving-20%, UTI Childrens Career Balanced-13%, SBI Contra (G) - 8.5%, HDFC Arbritrage Retail Plan (G) -8%, Birla SunLife Intl. Eq Plan B (G)-8%, Tata Indo-Global Infra (G)-8%, ICICI Pru. Indo Asia Eq (G)-5.5%, HDFC Equity (G)-4%, HDFC Tax Saver (G)-4%, Other MFs-1%. I have a monthly SIP of Rs. 3000 p.m. each for the first two - SBI MTG & Principal Tax Saving MFs since Dec'07. The original invested amount stands eroded by approx. 40%. Please advise the changes required in my portfolio and those funds wherein I can start additional monthly SIPs to recover the losses.
